A Question about hope, July 2, 2013 Daily Reflection

Jesus Christ on the cross gives all hope

What is my greatest hope? What a question. In our society many people would answer this question by saying “I want to be rich” or “I want to be successful” or “I want to be happy”.  Each answer is easy for us to relate to in our own lives.

My greatest hopes are for my family to know God and have a deep relationship with Him and follow their God given calling. I want each of my children to have a deep faith and share it with their children. I want my faith to continue to deepen. I want to continually follow God’s call to me until one day in His infinite Mercy He says “Come home my good and faithful servant” and He welcomes me to heaven.
I want to learn how to love selflessly and age with my husband while enjoying our children and grandchildren. I want to have at least one book published. I want to travel the world with my husband and see different cultures and landscapes. I want to live my life to the fullest for myself, my family and God. I want to accept all people where they are and serve others the way Jesus taught us. I want to be a “good” person following God’s example in all ways.

It seems I have lots of hopes and cannot narrow it to one. But if I had to narrow it to one hope it would be to know, love and serve God with my life.

What is your greatest hope?
