Amen
Amen means, I agree, I believe or OK. We respond amen to many different statements of faith in our faith community. We don’t realize that we say “amen” often in our every day lives. When we accept injustices and let them slide as though we did not see them; a student being bullied, a homeless person on the street. We say “amen” when we don’t stand up for our beliefs and we let people go on and on about their opinion and we choose not t o reveal ours because the backlash would be to great. We say “we believe” in so many times when we have not even considered if we believe or not.
What should you stop letting slide, ignoring or being indifferent towards? Today, consider the times you say amen and whether or not you would like to change that response.
