Me and my Dad

Last night I had the pleasure of walking in the lightly falling rain with my daughter on my one side and my dog on the leash on the other side, to meet my son after archer practice. As we strolled through the rain we talked. We talked about the importance of confidence in our lives, especially as women. I told her if it had not been for my parents I would not be who I am today. In fact, I told her that I thank God often that when my Dad had a heart attack when I was in the 5th grade I was so lucky to not lose him. That moment changed me and my life forever. I began to treasure moments instead of things. I said, “Anna, you are so blessed to know your Grandpa. He built me up to be who I am today. He builds you up every day as well!” We both agreed that Grandpa has a tremendous affect on the confident women we are today.

My Dad and my 4 blessings

I am humbled, awed, and sometimes in tears because of all of the blessings in my life. Who am to warrant such love and grace from God? I know I am not deserving but I am appreciative. I am trying to give God’s love away by bringing everyone closer to God’s goodness daily, yet I will never be able to repay God for all the blessings upon blessings he has granted me in my life. Thank you God!!
