“Finally, brothers, rejoice.
Mend your ways, encourage one another, agree with one another,
live in peace, and the God of love and peace will be with you.”
2 Corinthians 13:11
St. Paul concludes this letter to the city of Corinth with words of wisdom we should heed today. In our world of conflict and violence we need to “mend our ways, encourage one another.” Today’s social media is filled with degrading comments and discouraging thoughts. Although there are those posts that are extremely uplifting, encouraging and peace filled. Those are the posts we need to share and re-tweet. It is up to us to be the people of peace that God calls us to live within. Today, consider unfriending those who are constantly causing discord and discouragement. Instead friend those who support peace and kindness. Consider St. Paul’s words and let them lead your life.
