Decorating the Christmas Tree
Almost our entire Christmas tree is covered with ornaments made from my children over the years and ornaments given to them. Our Christmas tree serves as a tree of memories. I love to look at the ornaments with the kids pictures or handprints on them to compare them to their hands now. At the top of the tree out of curious little hands temptations hangs ornaments from my Grandparents and parents first Christmas trees. Every year as I hang them I show them to the children and tell them their age, some of which are 70 years old. It’s as though every little branch contains a story held by that ornament. Today, take a moment with your children or spouse look at the ornaments and tell a few of their stories and enjoy their history.
