Exhaustion, we have all been through this experience, when we feel physically, emotionally, and mentally spent, like we can’t make it another minute. Our culture is responsible for pushing us to go 100% 200% of the time. Other countries know how to relax, enjoy life, and simply be. We have self help books to read, retreats to attend, speakers to listen to so that we can learn to relax. We have not been taught how to stop pushing so hard all of the time. We don’t even try to relax a little bit we are all or nothing people. That is why we experience exhaustion so often.

Today, do your work, give 100% of yourself at work. When you come home, come down off of your day. Give yourself permission to relax. Have a seat, take a deep breath, sit out on your patio or porch and just let yourself be. Exhaustion will occur because we are hard working people but we also need to give ourselves a time to relax. There is a time to work hard and there should be equally a time to relax. God created the world and on the seventh day he rested. Let’s use that as our model!
