Forgiveness
Our next lesson in my Sacraments class is all about the sacrament of Reconciliation. It’s about the ultimate forgiveness and God’s love and mercy. We are so blessed that no matter how bad we mess up if we are truly sorry and repent God will forgive us. God is such an excellent example of forgiveness. However, as humans we rarely model God’s behavior. We have an extremely difficult time forgiving others. Yet, we believe others should forgive us freely and openly. How does God forgive us yet, we hold onto ill will and grudges for so long. God, please help lead us to ask for forgiveness and to give forgiveness to everyone.
Today, reflect on who you should apologize to and whose forgiveness you are holding bound.
