God’s Amazing Grace, December 9, 2015 Daily Reflection

another sunset

another sunset

My youngest boys and I have started a great healthy habit lately. We take a long walk to my parent’s house.  I burn calories and when we get there they each have a dish of ice cream (I don’t, what would be the point of the walk?). Then we walk back home. I truly enjoy walking with my boys we talk about our day and sometimes we have deep philosophical discussions about free will versus predestination. We take in the weather and the sites of downtown, we live in a high area where we can see the some of the downtown buildings.

On the way home during yesterday’s walk the boys noticed the sky. Spencer said it looked like it was on fire. It was breathtaking. We talked about how God is so unbelievably noticeable in those clouds and the beauty of nature, and our own creation. They have a difficult time understanding how someone could not believe in God after witnessing a sunset that spectacular. It’s not just the beautiful sunset that reveals God’s amazing grace to me but in the precious time I am able to spend with my children. They are two of God’s many gifts to this world.
