Today, I am moving my daughter into a dorm room for 5 weeks for the Governor’s Scholar Program. I am so proud of her. The application process was grueling. Her application was 40 pages. What made up that 40 pages took years of leadership, service, excellent grades, involvement in athletics, school clubs, music lessons, and community involvement. She proved that she is a well rounded young woman, with self-discipline, and quite smart. I will miss her but I know she will thrive being on campus with hundreds of other students who are also well rounded, studious, and ready to learn. I am so proud of her achievements and know she will enjoy this experience! Today, I am one proud mom but also sad to have to say goodbye for awhile.
