Happiness is an emotion that we feel and all emotions are fleeting. However, our culture believes that happiness is more than an emotion that it is some type of end point or success. Parents want their children to be happy. Children want their parents to be happy. What really gives us happiness? Can happiness be purchased, demanded, or earned?
In my life happiness is an emotion brought on by good experiences…

To me happiness is
my children are laughing together
my husband hugging me
a friend sharing good news
a classmate enlightening me
a student understanding how much I truly care for their well being
feeling the presence of God’s love in the world
