So many times in this life we hold on to a stony heart. A heart made of stone cannot bleed; it cannot be injured or damaged. We make that stone so thick that no one can get through.
It is a risk to break down the stone and bring vulnerability to a heart of flesh. A heart that can tear, bleed or be hurt. But this type of heart is capable of the fullest love possible.
Today, consider chipping away at the heart of stone and think about how much fuller your life would be if you allow others to love you. The reward of love outweighs the risk of pain.
I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh. 27 And I will put my Spirit in you and move you to follow my decrees and be careful to keep my laws.28 Then you will live in the land I gave your ancestors; you will be my people, and I will be your God.
Ezekiel 36: 26 – 29
