Humility is usually considered being meek and unassuming. However, my spiritual director informed me that surrendering your life to God is humble. Decreasing yourself and increasing God. Allowing God to work through you, putting aside your wants and desires and listening for God’s direction is humble. It’s making self lower and stepping out of the way so God can live in you.
