Each day we are granted a new opportunity. God grants us a new day. New possibilities, hope for the future, and space to make changes. Often times, we miss these opportunities because we become complacent. We get so caught up in our “ordinary” lives that we don’t recognize the prospects for the future.
Today, say a prayer, ask God to open your eyes to hope. Ask God to give you the clarity to see that this is a new day and that all that is good, pure, and loving can happen. Ask God to strengthen you to make this day a turning point in your life, one that you will remember forever.
I’m going to use your thoughts next Sunday with our RCIA Elect…the Gospel is the blind man that Jesus heals…how blind are we when we miss new opportunities and insights because we are so preoccupied with our own agenda?!?
