Preparing for a Baby…

Now you will think I am crazy but as of my sophomore year in High School at Mercy Academy (an all girl’s Catholic High School) I had my mind made up that I would preserve and keep my body pure from smoking, drugs and alcohol so that I would be ready to carry a healthy baby when I got married in the future of course.  I did not hang out with people who believed the same as me.  After all I was in high school but they didn’t do anything over the top either.  Like most girls I had a high school boyfriend that I thought I would marry THANK GOD THAT WAS NOT THE PLAN!

After high school I met the real love of my life, Aaron and when I realized it the very next day I broke up with my high school boyfriend and started my real adult life.  I graduated from the University of Louisville and bought a small house in February of 1997 but still lived with my parents until the day Aaron and I got married on May 16, 1997.  It was a beautiful wedding the way I had always pictured it not extravagant just perfect for us.  Then we started our married life together.  My plan was to wait at least a year after we were married to start trying for a baby.  But by December of that year I was ready to try.  It took six months to get pregnant, I did not use fertility drugs or have any complications, just a normal delivery with an epidural.  Then my life as a Mom started…
