Journals

We are almost to the new year! Have you started to reflect and review your year yet? Each year I write about 4-6 pages highlighting my year in my journal. I write a paragraph about each of my children and how they have changed and what is new with them. I write about my relationships in my life, about my family and extended family. I write about goals I have accomplished and those I am striving for and I always write about where I am with my relationship with God. I have been keeping a journal since high school. So, anytime I want I can read the last 10 pages of my journal and get a sense of who I was, who I loved, who I lost, the goals I set and my life from that year.

I encourage each of you to think back about the year 2014 and write down the things I write. Then read it and think about what you want to do different, what you appreciate most and where your life is leading you right now. Put it somewhere you can find it next year so you can look back as well. The year in review helps me to set new goals and to gain some closure on the old ones.
