Innocence by the Sunday Boys

Jesus said in Matthew 18:3 –

“Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.”

“The Sunday Boys,” My coworkers, have both experienced the innocence and faith of children in different ways. Today, they wanted to share the following experiences with you.

John said, “My 2nd day as a school counselor was 9-11-2001.  It was a tragic day for all of us. I remember my dark feelings of sadness and concern.  As I walked across the playground I saw some of the younger students playing and noticed many would skip as they ran.  There is something  very soothing and whimsical about a child skipping.  It reminds you that everything is going to be alright.”

My buddy Todd told me he brought home a bag of plastic balls for his little girl.  He just dumped them in her playpen and her eyes lit up with joy.  I think this is part of the meaning of the verse.

Do our eyes light up with joy at the gifts our Lord has given us?
