My youngest boys after their cross country race

I was about to explode with pride as I watched my two youngest children sprinting down the chute and crossing that finish line together. They ran the race together. Because my boys are two years apart it is rare that they are able to run a race together for their school. They were so proud to finish together. They said that they liked having each other out there on the course.

It’s moments like these when we see our children as best friends, helping each other and being so happy to be together, that we treasure most as parents. These moments seem rare but when they happen they overshadow all the fighting. This is the reward of parenting!
