Upside down

Upside down

Do you ever feel like your life is upside down, out of control and not exactly what you had planned? We all have days, weeks, months and sometimes years like that. So what should we do to set it right side up again?

For one thing realize that the only constant to life is change. Be open to letting the past be the past and the future be a step ahead of you. Embrace where you are by trying to discover the opportunities that the present may be offering to you. Most of the time it is very difficult to find the opportunities and the good in change. That’s when friends can really help by giving you an objective view of your situation. Taking the time to reflect on your life, challenges and changes is extremely beneficial. Plan a time each day to be alone even if it is for 15 minutes to journal, think or pray about where you are right now and make yourself count the blessings that you have been given (even if you can only count 2).

Know that no matter what is happening in your life. God is right there with you. Say a prayer, talk to friends, take time to reflect and count your blessings. Realize that nothing lasts forever and at some point things won’t seem so upside down anymore. After all, everything is temporary, except the love of God.
