Willis Tower - 103 stories up

Willis Tower – 103 stories up

This is the view 103 stories up in the Willis Tower in Chicago. We went to Chicago for my husband to run the marathon. We were able to do a little bit of exploring. We had to see the view from the old Sears Tower now called the Willis Tower. I, however, am a bit weary of heights. You can put me on a roller coaster that drops 300 feet straight down because I am buckled but I don’t like standing at the top of a skyscraper. But I went to the top and looked out. They have designed these glass boxes that extend 4 feet from the building that you can stand on and look straight down as though you are standing on air. I could not do it. But that didn’t stop Spencer from taking pictures of the view with my camera. Just looking at this picture makes me a little wobbly.

We all have fears. Some fears are rational and keep us safe. Others are irrational and hold us back from exploring the world. Do you face your fears or let them control you? What are your fears? There is nothing to fear but fear itself, right?

“The Lord is my light and my salvation –whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life—of whom shall I be afraid?” (Psalm 27:1)
