This is how I want to live my life. I want to take it all in every day, every moment, every shred of beauty there is to experience I want to live it! I want to completely feel each emotion, completely love each person in my life. So that they will never wonder how much I loved them when I am gone. I want to go places and see the world, I want to travel and see the wonder and awe that God has created. \u00a0I want to live.<\/p>\n
We walk in a haze, living our daily routines, in a rut. If we are lucky from time to time something jerks us from this haze. Usually it is the death of a loved one, a disease, a car accident or a near death experience. We don’t have to wait for an incident to wake us from sleep walking through our lives. We can decide to live our lives to the fullest right now, in this very moment. We don’t have to desert our normal routines, lives and the people within our lives. We can still have all of these things we just need to live them instead of simply existing.<\/p>\n
So, WAKE UP AND LIVE! Listen to the song. Write a list of some of the things you want to do or change. Here is a start:<\/p>\n
Watch the sunrise<\/p>\n
Say a prayer of thanks each morning<\/p>\n
Smile more often – the physical act of smiling changes your emotions to happiness<\/p>\n
Hug your friends and family every time you greet them or leave them (a real hug, a tight, warm sincere hug)<\/p>\n
Set up a time to go out with a friend you have not talked to in a while.<\/p>\n
Go for a walk at lunchtime<\/p>\n
Take a bike ride with your friends or children<\/p>\n
Read a good book<\/p>\n
Talk to your spouse about the places you want to go someday, explore the map and dream<\/p>\n
Take a deep breath, feel the rising and falling of your chest<\/p>\n
Feel your heartbeat<\/p>\n
Today, decide to live fully not for one day but a little bit every day. So that one day you can say, “I did it all… I swear I lived.”<\/p>\n
