Gregory Peck was an amazing Atticus. I have enjoyed every single show or movie with a narrative voice in it. However, I am ashamed to say I never read the book.<\/p>\n<p>This year at Holy Cross High School, it was decided that the entire school be given a book to read over the summer. I am so happy that To Kill a Mockingbird was chosen. \u00a0I read it over the last 3 days at Kentucky Kingdom and at home. It was unbelievable. The language is so rich, the story realistic, the characters riveting, and the truth so cutting. I laughed and cried with Scout. I was there with her those 3 or 4 summers and witnessed from her eyes what she saw, felt, and experienced. This novel is the best I have ever read. I knew it would be before I read the first page. Typically when my expectations are that high nothing can sustain them. This book exceeded those expectations.<\/p>\n<p>It doesn&#8217;t matter if you are a teacher, or a student, a woman or a man, a Southerner or a Yankee,this book should be read.
