It jumped from branch to branch with a loud chirping. I tried to stay present but heard every distraction about me, cars,runners, walkers, etc. I thought I must somehow try to zone in and focus singularly with an open heart to receive what I will be given. Then it was as if the birds chirping began in rhythm to say, &#8220;listen to me, listen to me.&#8221; I tried to listen today.<\/p>\n<p>Today, God drew me to a beautiful red rose. It swayed gently in the breeze. I leaned in closely and smelled its sweet aroma. I inhaled its scent once more and sat down on a bench beside where it grew. I heard the squirrels scurrying about, and the birds chirping in the trees. I tried to concentrate on the beauty of the flower. I thought I need to focus singularly with an open heart to receive what I will be given. Then I was distracted again and walked away frustrated. I tried to listen today.<\/p>\n<p>Today, God drew me to a quiet place where I chose to sit and pray. I closed my eyes and hands and took a deep breath. I tried to stay present to my prayers, my conversation with God. I tried to silence the chatter that happens in my head but I was distracted. I thought I need to focus singularly with an open heart to receive what I will be given. I tried to listen today. <\/p>\n<p>Today, notice where God is drawing you and go. Sit in the moment and accept the gift. In that moment listen, even if it only lasts a moment let that be enough for now. Accept what God gives you sometimes its a moment, sometimes it is more, whatever it is let it be enough for now.
