{"id":1920,"date":"2009-12-11T05:00:19","date_gmt":"2009-12-11T10:00:19","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/faithfilledmom.com\/?p=1920"},"modified":"2009-12-11T19:32:08","modified_gmt":"2009-12-12T00:32:08","slug":"beauty-december-11-daily-reflection","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/faithfilledmom.com\/beauty-december-11-daily-reflection\/","title":{"rendered":"Beauty, December 11 Daily Reflection"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"attachment_1919\" style=\"width: 310px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-1919\" decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-1919\" title=\"Photo_121009_002\" src=\"https:\/\/faithfilledmom.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/12\/Photo_121009_002-300x240.jpg\" alt=\"My sweet little Jake\" width=\"300\" height=\"240\" srcset=\"https:\/\/faithfilledmom.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/12\/Photo_121009_002-300x240.jpg 300w, https:\/\/faithfilledmom.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/12\/Photo_121009_002-768x614.jpg 768w, https:\/\/faithfilledmom.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/12\/Photo_121009_002.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-1919\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">My sweet little Jake<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Talk about seeing through &#8220;rose colored glasses&#8221; Jake told me &#8220;You are so beautiful mommy&#8221;.\u00a0 On my good days it is seldom that I hear such compliments fall from the lips of my children much less my husband.\u00a0 Jake said this on the day I was sick with bronchitis and possibly the flu.\u00a0 I was curled up in my husband&#8217;s big leather chair, coughing like a man, with a horrible headache and looking like death.<!--more-->\u00a0 Of all the times to think of beauty this would be the last time possible.\u00a0 My little Jake sees straight through the physical appearance of gross illness but instead sees the core of who he loves most in this world, the mom who cares for him, the woman who loves him more than any other person possibly can or ever will in this world.\u00a0 That alone is worth being a mom.\u00a0 What a bonus of parenthood to be loved beyond what one thinks possible by another human being.<\/p>\n<p>I believe that is how God views us.\u00a0 We believe we are at our worst having sinned again thinking God could no longer see any beauty in us that it is stained and tarnished.\u00a0 God witnesses that vulnerability and can cut straight through the faults to see the beauty He Himself created and He loves us unconditionally.\u00a0 No matter what you have done, or what you have not done, No matter how bad and gross you feel about yourself. You need only to say your sorry and try harder next time.\u00a0 However, even before those words of apology are spoken God still loves you and can see the beauty in you.\u00a0 Just like Jake saw the beauty in me his mommy all curled up, disheveled and ill.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>How beautiful do you feel when you are ill?
