One of which is the gingerbread house tradition.<!--more--> We take all four of our children to Oma and Opa\u2019s house, my in-laws, and the kids get to assemble and decorate a gingerbread house while my husband and I have marathon shopping day. Each year it looks a little different from the year before.<\/p>\n<p>Isn\u2019t amazing how parents can see the artistic nature of a child in icing and candies but a stranger cannot. A stranger would pass it over and buy a more perfected version. But to a parent that Gingerbread house is worth a million dollars and to Oma and Opa every moment they spend with my children is a priceless gift. Parents and grandparents wear rose colored glasses because indeed we are in love with our children and grandchildren.
