They have been taking lessons weekly from my Aunt Mary K. They did a wonderful job together on a duet as well as their solos. They were both nervous before starting their pieces. They were in front of at least 50 grandparents and parents. Aunt Mary K has 13 students.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>I think this was a great opportunity for my children for many different reasons. First of all they are learning how to read music and play the piano. All the research shows playing a musical instrument is so good for your brain. Secondly they have a wonderful hobby that creates music for a lifetime. Thirdly they were playing in front of people they have never met before. That will make it much easier for them to be comfortable in front of a crowd in school and life in their future.<\/p>\n<p>As a mom of course the only thing I was thinking during the recital was \u201cThat\u2019s my Johnny!\u201d- from the Music Man.
