Me 2015

Lori Hadorn Disselkamp

Since the onset of this blog in July 0f 2009 Lori has grown greatly in her writing and inspirational thoughts.  She has now merged the parenting side of the blog with inspirational writings that are fit to inspire not just parents but anyone looking for peace and faith in their lives.  This blog began for just parents and has expanded greatly to everyone. Her goal now is twofold to support parents and inspire all who read her writings to move closer to God. She is not writing about “Religion” but faith, how to find it in this world and within, how to share your gifts from God and how to live each day to the fullest.

For a more formal bio of me read below:

I am first and foremost a mom of 4 children ages 17, 15, 13 & 11. I am a full time theology teacher at a local Catholic High School. I am half way through (2.5 years in) earning a Master’s Degree from Loyola University of New Orleans in Pastoral Ministry. I was the volunteer coordinator of my children’s service learning program for the entire grade school for 9 years.  I enjoyed serving their school, my church and my community.  I have a passion for speaking on retreats and in public about my faith in God and my love for my family.  I have always loved to write and derive pure pleasure from writing (on my blog) daily reflections about being a mom and how I find God in my everyday life.  I am also a guest columnist on New.CatholicMom.com and  I have been published in the Book by Lisa Hendey The Handbook for Catholic Moms http://bit.ly/9LyS3s . I was a part time photographer for 6 years and have blended that talent into my website as well.  I have been married for 19 years to my soul mate and feel that God has blessed me with every blessing a person could ever want for (I don’t mean material possessions)  God’s Unconditional love.  I pray each day that I do His will and serve Him well.
