God’s Got my Back, June 17, 2017 Saturday Tidbit

A few days ago I had a conversation with a coworker about finishing my Master’s degree, starting my spiritual direction internship, working full time as a teacher and service coordinator, and raising my children. She commented that she didn’t know how I could do it all. I responded, “God’s got my back!” She said, “That may be difficult even for God.” I responded, “Nothing is impossible with God.” I could not believe that this person would doubt God’s ability, especially because this person is a nun!

I realize that God doesn’t guarentee a stress free existence, a healthy, safe, and secure life without tragedy, despair, and trials. I also know at the core of my existence whatever the pain or suffering, stress or craziness I put myself through God is always with me through every moment of it. I believe that God has led me to everything I am doing and knowing that he is leading it he will not leave me to endure it alone. God will give me the strength and endurance to do what needs to be done. I have faith that God’s got my back no matter what the situation!
