Me and my daughter
My daughter got me into watching the Gilmore Girls on Netflix. Oh my goodness it is amazing!! The story line is excellent. I am only in the first season so I can’t say overall how it will turn out in the end. However, at this point I adore the female characters, they are strong, independent, caring, leaders in their community. Watching it with my daughter makes me giggle and smile. My two youngest sons don’t mind watching it either. I like that I can point things out to my sons about the respect that some of the male characters have for the women.
I enjoy watching series that portray women in a leadership role. Young women need to witness examples of strong, independent women, who are empathetic and loving.
