I wrote this 14 years ago when I was pregnant with my first child…
And to you I give my body as a warm safe place, as a harbor from the storms.
I give always to you my outstretched arms to hold you, my hand that will never let you fall.
I give to you my vision of the world to give you knowledge and trust in such a chaotic state,
My voice to soothe and calm your cries
With you I share my being, my body, my soul.
For within me you will grow and outside of me there will be a world you must one day know.
No matter space, distance, time or type of existence I will always remain with you.
Remember this always for this is a mother’s gift to her children from conception beyond death.
